Insects-vectors of viruses in the potato agrobiocenosis of Latvia

Investigation on the distribution of potato virus diseases and their insects-vectors has been carried out to ensure an efficient control of diseases. The most widespread viruses and the dominant insects-vectors have been identified on different potato varieties. The level of infection has been determined depending on seed production farm, production technology and potato variety. The influence of insects-vectors on the incidence of diseases and hence on the decrease of potato yields has been analysed.
