The validation of BERSIM model was carried out on the podsolic soil formed from medium clay. The potential evapotranspiration was calculated according to Wending formula and Doroszewski and Gorski. The correlation coefficient calculated on the basis of simple regression confirmed the good agreement between simulated and actually measured values. The simulation agreement with measured data was the highest in the layer 60-100 cm. In the top of layer 10-30 cm model BERSIM ever estimated soil water content, particularly at periods with high water deficit
