Influence of pesticides used in chemical protection of field crops on some biological properties of soil

In a laboratory experiment there were studied the changes of cellulolytic activity and microbial biomass in response to simultaneous applications of various pesticides used in complete chemical protection of winter wheat, orchards, potatoes and faba bean. The brown soil was thoroughly mixed with the pesticides applied at normal field dose, 10 and 100 times higher. It has been found that in some instances pesticide combinations at low dosages caused stimulations of cellulolytic activity and content of microbial biomass where-as higher dosages were inhibitive
