Distribution maps (scale 1:1000000) of Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn in agricultural soils from Banat are presented. The content values are representative for the soil profile up to 100 cm depth. The soils from Banat are characterized by an overclark abundance for Cd, Co, Cr and Pb and underclark abundance for Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni and Zn. Pedogeochemical abundance of heavy metals, without Fe, is higher than their abundance in the world soils. Abnormal zones are situated at the border of the high geomorphological formations and in the plain, on small areas.
