[Influence of silk cocoons drying conditions on the filament length and on the reeling output]

A number of three variants of drying the silk cocoons were tested: 105-60 degrees C, 60 degrees-105 degrees C, 80 degrees C. The total length of the filament was favourably influenced by drying for two hours the cocoons at a maximum temperature of 105 degrees C and by a gradual decrease of the temperature to 60 degrees C. The drying output was of 36,6-42,0 percent.
