A strain Bacillus thuringiensis ssp. morrisoni N8 AB NII GENETICA 16-4 RN has been isolated that is capable to synthesize a crystalline protein endotoxin and heat stable exotoxin. Both substances possess an insecticide activity against different orders of insecta. Larvae of Colorado beetle are the most sensitive to exotoxin and larvae of domestic fly are about 10 times more stable to it. The exotoxin produced by the strain 4KH was attributed to a II type according to its specific activity and shift of optical density at alkaline pH. A level of the exotoxin synthesis can be increased by introduction of a mutation of timin dependance
