Dynamics of enzyme activity in orthic luvisol and fluvi-calcaric phaeozem under selected crops, 1: Catalase activity
1995

The results of the study of the dynamics of catalase activity (1.11.1.6) in different intensively tilled soils (orthic luvisol, fluvi-calcaric phaeozem) under winter wheat, ensilage maize and spring barley, show a close relation between catalase activity and soil fertility (content of humus, pH, sorptive complex, hydrothermic regime). The catalase activity is influenced by growing plants (variety, development). Compared to orthic luvisol, Fluvi-calcaric phaeozem preserved 1.9-times higher catalase activity under winter wheat, 1.6-times higher under ensilage maize, and 1.5-times higher under spring barley.
