Liskova, M. (Slovenska Akademia Vied, Kosice (Slovakia). Parazitologicky Ustav) | Planderova, M.
The occurrence of nematodes of the families Longidoridae and Trichodoridae - plant virus vectors in the potato rhizosphere was studied in 32 selected localities of Slovakia in 1993. 5 species were detected belonging to the family Longidoridae (Xiphinema vuittenezi, Longidorus euonymus, Longidorus lepticephalus and twice Longidorus spp.). The family Trichodoridae was represented by 3 species (Trichodorus primitivus, Trichodorus similis and Paratrichodorus pachydermus). These species were not found in potato-growing regions, except for Longidorus leptocephalus, occurring only in light soil of the Hron river basin and Ondava highlands. Other species occurred mainly in sandy soils (driftsands) of Zahorie and southeast Slovakia.
