Adoption of fattening pig technology of swine farmers in Amphoe Muang, Changwat Nakhon Pathom [Thailand]

Farmers were different on technological adoption of the swine raisers with different size of farms. The technology was vaccination for Foot and Mouth Disease, feeding equipment, water preparation for cooling in the fattening pen, changing of feed ration, cleaning the pen, waste product pond, waste water pond, ventilation equipment, bedding for piglets in the fattening pen, kind of feed, vaccination for Hong Cholera, breed, water supply equipment, feed type, equipment keeping and correct amount of feed. They were different on technological adoption of the swine raisers with different experiences, which were vaccination for Foot and Mouth Disease, water preparation for cooling in the fattening pen and bedding for piglets in the fattening pen. The farmers suggested that the Department of Livestock Development should produce sufficient vaccine for them, feed price should be controlled strictly by the government, quality control of raw materials should be more concentrate, vaccine should be sold through out, feed quality test should be quicker and crossbred piglets should be produced more by the official in order to sell to the farmers
