Chantana Jarmjareansuk
Study production of bananas, durian, papaya, longans, oranges and pummeloes found that fruit production was slightly increasing in both quantity and planted area. In marketing process, non sophisticated strategy was used. Quantities and value export have been increased due to supporting of government to increase export and applied new technology. Exporting market has been improved by increasing efficiency of product assembling and transportation, packaging, standardization and market testing in foreign markets. Foreign markets for Thai fresh fruit have been expanded not only to Asia but also to Europe, Middle East and the United States of America. Export price of fresh fruit was a significant factor affecting export quantities. Change in competition had effected market share expansion more than change in structure of market. Policy recommended from this study, to increase Thai fresh fruit export to Singapore and Hong Kong was price policy by reducing freight rates and increasing quantity of fresh fruit for export. To expand market share in Singapore, Hong Kong and other countries, strategies to public relations and to know method of consumption of Thai fresh fruit by the consumers in importing countries can increase export
