Coarseness of wood to polyurethane varnish adhesion

The paper deals with the interrelation between the coarseness of massive oak tree generated by different whetstone paper numeration applied and the adhesion of polyurethane colourless varnish defined as resistance to plucking normal to the surface. It is defined that the adhesion increases with coarseness increase as well as the effects of the base to adhesion impact whereto the structural coarseness of wood is dominating compared to processed wide bowl wood and numerous variation in the diameter of bowls.
