A complete technological procedure, through the stages: sedimentation, filtration, rinsing, disintegration and beer stabilization effects, has been defined through laboratory, semi-scale and large scale investigations on obtaining and application of precipitated silica gel. Precipitated silica gel polymerization criteria have been determined. Polymerization degree grew with silica concentration and pH decline, that is, silicate solution acidification accelerated precipitated silica gel condensation. It has been stated that beer stabilization was influenced not only by specific surface, but also by particle size distribution. Particles share was mainly between 5-15 micrometers. The large scale tests on beer stabilization with precipitated silica gel test samples were, in every aspect, comparative to imported Stabiyuick.
