Alfalfa (group 1), alfalfa with tops and leaves of sugar beet (group 2), alfalfa with corn plant (group 3), corn plant with top and leaves of sugar beet (group 4) and corn plant (group 5), were ensiled. All groups had 3 treatment each - control, with Lactisil and with Microsil. Dry matter content was 21-23 for groups 1-4 and 31-35 for group 5. The combining of alfalfa with tops and leaves of sugar beet and alfalfa with corn plant gave good results, particularly with corn plant. Combined silages of corn plant with tops and leaves of sugar beet had highest marks (Flieg), optimal pH, ratio of lactic to acetic acids and were, without butyric acid. Inoculants Lactisil and Microsil had rather important effects on silages quality making wider ratio of lactic to acetic acid but without influence on pH. The silages treated with inoculants had the higher marks than silages of control groups.
