Variability of protein content and some seed yield components at self-fertilization sunflower lines
1995
Jovanovic, D.
It is presented the variability of the protein content and some yield components at C4, C5 and C6 generation of self-fertilization lines. The medium values of the studied components at obtained lines of the C6 are higher than the average values for the same properties compared to the initial material (self-fertilization of C4). In the lines of the C6 generation the average value was for seed protein content 19.7, for the seed oil content 29.6, for the kernel content in seed 62.3, and for husk content at the seed 37.7. The highest coefficient of the variation was 26.5 and it was obtained for the husk content at seed, and the lowest coefficient of the the same was 12.9 for the protein content in seed. The correlations between studied traits were established. It was obtained five lines of C6 generation with the seed protein content higher than 22 and the seed oil content lower than 40.
