The objective of this research work was to develop a thermal comfort index for small scale models for swine housing. The experimental data was collected at the Experimental Area of the Agricultural Construction Department at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, State University of Campinas, the two models were built in distorted scale and with natural ventilation. The animals were substituted by an equivalent physical power source. The climatic data for the index determination were collected at five different times in the geometric model's center. A polinomial regression analysis was proceeded for the thermal comfort index determination. The following equations were obtained: PCA= 110815,89 + 7646,58 VV - 86,35 UR + 474,6 TPO - 4189,73 TBS + 912,88 TG e GPE = 575,77 - 17,32 VV - 8,38 TBS. Tables relating ideal comforting levels were made according to different weather conditions
