The effect of potassium nutrition on absorption and distribution of nutrient, yield formation and grain quality in winter wheat

The application of adequate potassium promote the absorption of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, synthetize and accumulation of amino acid in wheat plant. Adequate K-supply also increase the accumulative quantity of dry matter in various organs of wheat plant, promote the redistribution of carbonhydrate reserved in vegetative organ to reproductive organ, accelerate the absorption of nitrogen by plant after anthesis, increase the proportion of 15N assimilate distributed to grain and the content of protein and amino acid in wheat grain. All of those contribute to increasing yield and improving grain quality
