Influence of humic substances on in vitro cultures under nitrogen deficiency

Two in vitro cultured model plants, cabbage hypocotyls and Norway spruce polyembryonic mass, were used to investigate the interaction of humic substances with nitrogen nutrition and their effect on plant growth. Present study demonstrated a possibility of in vitro plant growth stimulation by sodium humate with optimum at 50 mg.l-1 and elimination of growth inhibitions caused by nitrogen deficiency.
