Seven little known species of the genus Alternaria

The occurrence of seven little known Alternaria species (Fungi Imperfecti, Hyphomycetes, Dematiaciace) collected in 1969-1994 in the Czech Republic is reported and their morphological characteristics are presented. They cover two species A. calendulae and A. thalictrina, a new combination: A. anthyllidis comb. nov. and three hitherto unknown species to the Czech Republic: (A. helianthinficiens, A. leucanthemi and A. infectoria. A new species A. caricina spec. nov., is described from leaves of Carex brizoides. Additional taxonomical characters (size of conidial scars) are given for each species.
