About the influence of farm practice on the yield formation of early barley

Barley is the most extensively cultivated cereal in Estonia. Since it is a producer of feeding grain the greater part of its production is used for feeding purposes. Early barley is also largely used as a fodder grain crop. Comparing with the other cereals early barley is quite particular about the preceeding crop, soil tillage and fertilization due to its shorter period of growth and root system developed rather weakly
