An attempt was made to determine the chemical speciation of radiosilver in the soil with the aid of sorption analyses following the modelling of soil components. Some physico-chemical properties of the chernozem soil are as follows: pH(H2O) 7.56; Carbonate content: 1.68 percent; Organic matter content: 17.8 mg/g; Element contents (in HNO3-extract): 6.4 mg K/g; 7.7 mg Ca/g; 9.9 mg Fe/g; 0.3 mg Mn/g; 3.1 mg Al/g; Combustible quantity: 35.5 mg/g
