Effect of Fusarium isolates on winter wheat seedlings at different nutrient supply levels
1995
Toth, A. (Godolloi Agrartud. Egyet., Godollo (Hungary))
The effect of Fusarium infections on winter wheat at seedling stage were studied in sandy experiments. The isolates of five Fusarium species F. avenaceum, F. culmorum, F. graminearum, F. moniliforme, F. sporotrichioides and five different fertilization treatment were applied. The data on plant decay, plant length, and dry matter content of roots were evaluated by analysis of variance. The affection with Fusarium decreased significantly (by 10-60 depending on the isolates) the parameters analysed. The rate of shoot/root dry matter contents changed in the function of the ability to cause disease, and the so-called "root cutting" effect of F. culmorum could be expressed even numerically
