Effect of tuber size and phosphate fertilizer application on the growth and yield of potato Desiree cultivar

This experiment was conducted at Lembang Horticultural Research Institute (LEHRI), since October 1990 until January 1991. The experiment was performed with Randomized Block Design with factorial pattern and three replications. The result indicated that there was no interaction between tuber size and phosphate fertilizer application on the growth and yield of potato. Dosage of phosphate as much as 150 kg P2O5/ha was the best. Tuber size of 30 and 40 gram gave better growth and yield. Bigger seed size gave more small tuber yield
