An investigation on phosphate fertilization on rice grown in Red Yellow Podzolic under lowland conditions was carried out in the greenhouse of Centre for the Application of Isotopes and Radiation, National Atomic Energy Agency. The aim of this preliminary study was getting information of phosphate fertilizer needed for rice cultivation in new lowland conditions. The Red Yellow Podzolic soil was used as media with IR-64 rice variety as experimental plants. The soil was known as very poor in phosphorus content. The rice seedling of 21 days old were planted and harvested at fully primordial phase. Dose levels of phosphate fertilizer was used in this investigation to identify the contribution of P derived from fertilizer in plant absorption. The level of 300 kg TSP/ha was found as optimal dose to increase plant growth, contribution and uptake of P from fertilizer as well as the utilization efficiency of fertilizer applied
Show more [+] Less [-]unknown. Percobaan pemupukan fosfat (TSP) telah dilakukan dengan sistem pot di Pusat Aplikasi Isotop dan Radiasi, BATAN. Tanah yang digunakan ialah jenis Podsolik Merah Kuning dari Way Abung, Lampung yang bersifat miskin unsur hara fosfor (P). Percobaan ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang kebutuhan pupuk fosfat pada tanah Podsolik Merah Kuning yang disawahkan. Perlakuan takaran pupuk yang diterapkan ialah : 0, 100, 200, 300 dan 400 kg TSP/ha. Adapun tanaman sebagai bahan penguji adalah padi varietas IR64. Bibit padi berumur 21 hari ditanam dan dipanen pada fase pertumbuhan primordial penuh. Percobaan ini menggunakan TSP bertanda P-32 untuk mengetahui kontribusinya dalam serapan P-tanaman. Data hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa pemupukan fosfat sangat berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan dan bobot kering tanaman, kontribusi dan serapan P di dalam tanaman. Untuk memperoleh produksi bobot kering tanaman, serapan P tanaman, sumbangan dan serapan P-pupuk serta koefisien penggunaan pupuk yang tinggi, kebutuhan pemupukan yang optimal adalah sebesar 300 kg TSP/ha
