Sesamia cretica a detrimental insect pest in corn fields. Unfortunately no egg parasitoid has been so far reared from the eggs of this insect. In May 1988, a number of eggs of Sesamia nonagrioides parasitized by Platytelenomus busseolae were collected and transported to Esfahan. The emerged wasp displayed a satisfying efficacity in the fields. Some biological aspects of the parasitoid were studied as well
