[Characteristics of Scotch pine undergrowth in dry mineral soils]

The aim of the given research was to investigate natural regeneration of Scotch pine undergrowth, to determine the relationship between trees number, age and other texation data. Evaluation of naturally regenerated undergrowth of 10 to 45 years old Scotch pines was carried out on 69 sample plots. The following data were compared: mean age of trees, mean height, mean diameter and H/D ratio. Mathematical data processing was done using the Excel 5 standard program. Measurement data have been analysed and are discussed.
