[Studies of oils and fats. Neutralization of rape oil by means of calcium hydroxide]

Experiments on the separation of free fatty acids from plant raw oils by means of their neutralization with calcium hydroxide are presented. The three phase system of the neutralization reaction is described. the formula for the calculation of the theoretically necessary amount of hydroxide is explained. The experimental data including the changes of the acid content in the rape oil after neutralization are shown in tables.
