Glaciofluvial clay as soil parent material
1996
Bambergs, K. (Latvian University of Agriculture, Jelgava (Latvia). Soil Science and Agrochemistry Dept.)
Complex characteristics of Latvia's glaciofluvial clay as the most significant soil parent material are presented. Textural, mineralogical and partly chemical composition of soil developed on glaciofluvial clay are characterized. During investigations of mineral associations, their changes in soil formation processes as well as the distribution of basic minerals among soil genetic horizons have been determined and discussed.
