[Results of the increase production program of maiz (PIPMA) at San Pedro Tlaltenango, Puebla, 1987]

In the present investigation the results of the Increase of Maize Production Program (PIPMA) were analysed and explained in 1987 in San Pedro Tlaltenango, Puebla; a rural community where the precapitalist forms of productions still previal. In order to evaluate we used a comparative study to consider the differences presented the PIPMA participant group respect to the no participant one in PIPMA, in the matter of: the surface of the land; usage degree of PIPMA technology, sales income of maize production, agricultural diversification degree, sales quantity of maize and employment of their parcel. The results indicated that with programs like PIPMA the Mexican State, can achive the target of increasing the production, however the participant peasant income won't increase, because of the higher costs of the PIPMA technology in constrast with the local one, so this program do no contribute to the rural development in the country.

En la presente investigacion se analizan y explican los resultados del Programa de Incremento a la Produccion de Maiz (PIPMA) en 1987 en San Pedro Tlaltenango, Puebla; comunidad rural en la que aun prevalecen formas precapitalistas de produccion. Para su evaluacion se empleo un estudio comparativo para considerar las diferencias que presentaba el grupo participante en el PIPMA, respecto al no participante en el programa, en material de superficie de tierras, grado de uso de la tecnologia PIPMA, produccion e ingreso por concepto de maiz, grado de diversificacion agropecuaria, cantidad de maiz que venden y empleo fuera de la parcela. Los resultados indican que con programas como el PIPMA el Estado Mexicano logra el objetivo de incrementar la produccion, pero no asi el ingreso de los productores participantes, dado el mayor costo que representa aplicar el paquete tecnologico PIPMA en relacion con el no PIPMA, por lo tanto no contribuye al desarrollo del pais.
