Effect of planting dates on yield and its related traits in spring mungbean (Phaseolus aureus L.)

An experiment to study effect of planting dates on the growth and yield of mungbean variety, S-8 was conducted at Agronomy Section, Agricultural Research Institute, Tandojam. The results for number of branches, pods, seed yield per plant and yield per hectare showed statistically positive response for better yields. However, 5th March planting date was more conducive for higher yields of spring Mungbean variety, S-8.
