Potato yield as affected by boron fertilizer mixing with and without farm yard manure

Effect of boron (B) on potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) yield was studied in the farmer's field by applying 1, 1.5 and 2 kg ha-1 B alone and/or pre-mixed with 5.33 tones farm yard manure (FYM). A basal dose of 120 kg N, 90 kg P2O5 and 60 kg K2O per hectare was also applied. Generally all the fertilizer treatments increased the yield over control. However, 1.5 Kg B ha-1 pre-mixed with 5.33 t FYM ha-1 gave 28.6% increase in total yield over control.
