Majority of the crosses, generally manifested fair degree of heterosis for all the traits under study. For plant height, five hybrids showed positive heterosis over mid parent value's and four crosses over better parents with the highest increase of +6.20 and +2.87 percent, respectively. In number of monopodial branches, positive heterotic response was observed in three crosses over mid parents and two crosses over better parents with the maximum increase of + 25.82 and 10.00 percent, respectively. Apparent heterotic effects were also noted for traits, sympodial branches, number of bolls, ginning out turn percentage and staple length with the maximum increments of +22.48, 20.38, 24.57, 5.7 and 3.65% respectively over their mid parent values.
