Rambutan trees exhibited faster growth when grown in association with legumes than corn. Rambutan intercropped with peanut had the biggest stem diameter increment (29 mm) after 18 months. Leguminous intercrop promoted canopy development while corn had a depressing effect. The area remained moderately acidic while the OM [organic matter] content slightly increased from 1.5 to 1.89 percent. Intercropping did not significantly change the CEC [cation exchange capacity] and the amount of P and K of the soil. In contrast to soybean, the grain yield, TDM [total dry matter] yield, and HI [harvest index] of peanut were higher during wet than dry season. Season did not significantly affect the grain yield of corn and mungo but their respective HI were higher during dry than wet season
