Paper contains the analysis of situation and changes in Polish agricultural and food product export, global and directed to the EU countries within the period of system transformation in Poland. The factors of either, domestic and outer character affecting export declination during last few years were discussed, such as foreign trade policy, fighting the inflation, reduced market in the eastern countries, changes in the EU market demands, obsolete structure of offered commodities etc. Some conclusions and recommendations were also given
