Expansive weed species in winter cereals of the Siedlce Upland

The aim of the present work was a comparative analysis of winter cereals infestation on Siedlce Upland. The base was 796 phytosociological records carried out in the years 1978-93 in 89 localities. The infestation of winter crops caused 51 species. The most threaten were Apera spica-venti, Viola arvensis and Centaurea cyanus. A comperative analysis of infestation in three investigative periods showed the expansiveness of 12 weeds on heavy soils and 8 on light soils. The spreading species on all soil types were Viola arvensis, Tripleurospermum inodorum, Stellaria media and Poa annua
