It was found that herbicide fallow and the higher doses of nitrogen inhibited the bacteria, actinomycetes, nitrifying bacteria, and nitrogenase activity in the investigated soil samples. However, in the same experimental combinations the increment of organic carbon was noted. The soil management system both sod and herbicide fallow does not effect on ammonifying and cellulolytic bacteria in the soil. It was also estabilished that liming stimulated biological activity of the soil
