The tested 44 potato varieties of showed varied response to application of Senecor 70 WP before and after potato emergence, which was reflected in the contribution and the degree of infection with common scab of tubers. The response of studied varieties on the application term of Senecor 70 WP herbicide, expressed by percentage share of tubers infected by black scruf and the degree of their infection, appeared to be differentiated. In majority of varieties the direction of changes caused by the application term of herbicide was similar, though not always significant
