The samples were taken from the sites situated near the roads with high automobile traffic, the largest parks and allotment gardens situated in different parts of the town. It was found that automotive sources have higher influence on the content of lead in the soil and plants but smaller on the contamionation of zinc, manganese and copper. In general, there was the smallest contamination with investigated elements in samples derivated from Szczecin parks and allotment gardens
