A pot experiments and two field experiments were run to analyse the effect of selected crop management factors on the digestibility and on the sugar fractions and lignins content of the dry matter of two grass species. The following factors were examined in the pot experiment with unioloid bromegrass: liming, nitrogen fertilization and irrigation. In field experiments, tall fescue was grown along with unioloid bromegrass. In one experiment nitrogen fertilization and different intervals between the first and subsequent cuts were applied. The factors to be studied in the other experiment were irrigation and harvest at different development stages
