In spite of several unclear processes conditioning the formation of the climate on our planet, the changes in the atmosphere structure are significant and the consequences over time are only being assessed at present. The model forecasts agree that the pre-industrialization level of CO2 (cca 270 ppm) will be doubled by the second half of the 21st century. Probable effects of global climate changes on physiological processes of forest trees, with stress on photosynthesis as well as estimated potential possibilities of CO2-fixation by forest trees are given
