Revised checklist of filariids parasitizing in deer species (Cervidae) in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic

In 5 host species of the family Cervidae species of filariid nematodes found on the territory of Czech Republic and Slovak Republic were as follows: Onchocerca flexuosa, O. jakutensis, O. skrjabini, Dipetalonema rugosicauda, Setaria cervi, S. labiatopapillosa and S. transcaucasica. The presence of Onchocerca garmsi and Cutifilaria wenki is supposed. In the red deer 5 filariid species were found, in other hosts only 2 or 3 filariid species are present. For each nematode species, data are given on the taxonomy, hosts, localisation and biology, from the relevant Czech and Slovak literary references. Included bibliography gives the survey on the level achieved in the research on the nematode group in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic
