Baumgartnerova, H. (Slovenska Akademia Vied, Ivanka pri Dunaji (Slovakia). Ustav Experimentalnej Fytopatologie a Entomologie)
During a health survey of park and habitant greenery, a viral disease of Rumba and Cardinal cultivars was revealed. Biological and serological tests confirmed the pressence of the sour cherry necrotic ringspot virus. The virus from diseased leaves and pollen of roses was positively mechanically transmitted on the tested plants Cucumis sativus (L.) cv. Delikatess, Cucurbita maxima (Duch.) cv. Riesen Melonen Gelber, Chenopodium quinoa (Willd.) and Momordica balsamina (L.) From the serological tests a positive reaction using the dropping precipitation reaction and the diffuse agar-gel test was obtained, as well as an antiserum against the ringspot virus prepared from the virus isolates.
