The effect of organic matter and organic matter together with zeolite on sorption, desorption and distribution coefficients for Sr andCs radioisotopes in different soils was studied. Organic matter application increased the desorption of Sr radioisotope in all investigated soil samples. Application of organic matter together with zeolite decreased the sorption more effectively in comparison with zeolite application or organic matter application. Cesium is strongly fixed in soil. The application of organic matter together with zeolite can be used for compensating for negative effects of pollutants in soils and decreasing their uptake into plants
