[Soil survey of West Syria using remote sensing techniques]

The studied area is located in West Syria. It is divided into three agroecological zones: coastal plains, coastal mountains and internal plains. The study aimed at preparing a soil map for the area. Remote sensing techniques used in producing the map were the visual image interpretation of T.M.FCC of three bands combinations. The main soil orders and land types found are: entisols, aridisols, inceptisols, mollisole, rock outcrops and complexes
