Lymnaea snails from Indonesia (L. (a) rubiginosa), India (L. luteola) and Guam Island (L. viridis) were collected as reference species for comparing study on lymnaea snails found in Thailand. The snail is of veterinarian importance because some of its species are the intermediate hosts of fasciola gigantica, liver fluke in domestic animals. The snails were also collected from various parts of swamp and reservoirs in Sagonnakorn province, Chaiyapoom province, Tak province, Nakornsawan province, Prachubkirikun province and Bangkaen, Bangkok. The mantle or foot snail was dissected from each of the snail and sonicated then freezed and thawed. The supernatant of the centrifugal material was kept as protein antigen at -20 deg C. Total protein was measured. The immunological characteristics were studied by the method of immunodiffusion and immunoelectrophoresis. The results showed correlation between the L. rubiginosa, L. luteola and L. vuridis. The L. rubiginosa showed the closest relation to L. luteola than L. viridis. These results were observed by precipitin line appeared in the gel. There was good correlation between L. rubiginosa and the lymnaea from Tak, Chaiyapoom. Sagonnakorn and Prachubkirikun provinces. The lymnaea from Nakornsawan province had good correlation to L. viridis and the lymnaea from Bangkok had also good correlation to L. luteola.
