Application of N fertiliser has little or no effect on extent of effective degradability of dry matter (EDMD) of grasses.However, in meadow herbage EDMD increased probably by altering the botanical composition and the leaf/stem ratio.Effective degradability of crude protein increased paralelly with increases of N doses and consequent N content of the plants.
