Bulgarian. A comparative characteristics was made of two sunflower species - Peredovic and Line R-147 with the aim of their use as forage purposes.It was found that with vegetation both dry matter yield and NU increases and production NU decreased.Consumption and digestibility of silages were the highest when prepared before flowering and decreased after that stage.When feeding with wax ripening sunflower they didn't satisfied animals' requirements of NU for maintaining.
