[Diploid form of Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench - a new source of medicinal raw materials for home-produced immunostimulating preparations]

Diploid form of Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench (2n=22) selected in the Central Botanical Gardens of Academy of Sciencies of Belarus is proposed as a medical herb for home-produced immunostimulatory medicinal preparations. Ontogenesis and the active biochemical substance content by cultivating this plant in Belarus are described. The total oxy-cinnamic acid derivative content of the diploid form herb is shown to be almost twice as much in comparison with the introduced haploid form
