The application of Junduwei, a mixture of Bt and HaNPV, against cotton bollworm

Field application of Junduwei, a mixture of Bacillus thuringiensis and nuclear polyhedrosis virus (HaNPV), developed by the authors, was conducted in Binzhou, Shandong against cotton bollworm. The general efficacy was more than 95. The death peak time of the larvae appeared 12-15 h earlier than that of the ordinary biological insecticides. Observations made ten days after treatment and that of next year on pupal mortality were also significant. It has no side-effect to the natural enemies and the environment as a whole
