The effect of organic fertilizers and different rates of ammonium nitrate on the yield and quality of potato

The effect of 5 different rates (0, 40, 80, 120 and 160 kg N ha sup(-1)) of nitrogen fertilizers in combination with manure (60 t/ha sup(-1)) and straw (4 t/ha sup(-1)) with pig slurry (60 t/ha sup (-1)) on the yield and quality of potato was studied in long-term field experiment of "IOSDV". The results of the first year (1996) in the third rotation of a long-term experiment showed a strong effect of organic manures. The maximum rate of a nitrogen fertilizer against the background without manure for potato was 115 kg N ha sup(-1) and against the background of straw with manure, 82 kg N ha sup(-1). The mineral nitrogen fertilizer (NH4NO3) was of no efficiency against the background of straw with pig slurry
