Effect of vines load and training method on yield and quality of Al-Kamaly and Dees El-Anes grape cultivars (Vitis vinifera L.).
1991
Jabbar, M.M. | Hassan, A. (Baghdad Univ. Coll. of Agric. Dept. of Hort. (Iraq))
The result from this experiment has shown that increasing number of buds left on the vine in both cultivars, caused an increase in the total yield per vine significantly and increased the weight of cluster. Also the increasing number of buds left on the vines until the second level, results in an increase of the berries weight rate and the percentage of reducing sugar and does not effect the average total acidity in the juice. The fan training method has overtopped the arbor method in the total yield weight rates; clusters weight berries weight and percentage of reducing sugars, but arbor method overtopped fan method in total acidity
